Benefit to Homeowners
The British Fenestration Ratings Council are issuing energy ratings to windows for your home. They also issue the rights to use energy efficient labels for manufacturers to display on their products, making them easily recognised by customers and members of the public. Being registered on the BFRC website is very prestigious and difficult to attain.

T.W.R. were at the forefront, when our simulations were approved by the BFRC, we were one of the first 50 companies in the UK to do so, which is something we are very proud of.

T.W.R. has a reputation to be proud of, we lead others follow, when the industry spoke about global warming and document L, our technical and quality team set about finding a solution. We contacted Build Check who are approved simulators and were told that the BFRC requirement would be to a achieve a minimum C-Rated window, so here at T.W.R. we developed a window to achieve this as well as the B and the coveted A-rating.

• Recognition

Customers are already familiar with the BFRC style of label as used on white goods and use similar labels as part of their purchasing decisions. The BFRC label shows energy efficiency, in a customer friendly format and helps the customer to make informed decisions about the complete energy performance of competing products.

• Recommendations

Energy Advice Centres (located throughout the UK) have access to the BFRC Rating information website and will be using it to advise customers on the most energy efficient windows for their home.

• Energy Awareness

Selling to energy aware customers is easier when a product is BFRC Certified and listed. Customers know that they are doing something to lower their own energy bills as well as contributing to reduced global warming.

The energy saving recommended logo is one of the most highly recognised certification marks in the UK. Customers both recognise and trust the mark as defining an energy efficient product and use it to make an informed purchase decision. Using the mark shows that a manufacturer is part of a recognised select group of companies in today's environmental and energy efficient world.
